The $400 Aina smart ring comes with a tiny display to manage your AI agents

Credit: Aina TL;DR Aina is a smart ring with a screen and a button. The bigger attraction is its context-aware cues, which interact with your phone and PC to control them or interact with your AI agents. The onboard AI is claimed to predict your next steps and take action automatically, such as ordering an Uber only after you finish breakfast. It’s available for pre-ordering and will start shipping early next year. Smart rings have lately been seen as viable alternatives to smartwatches because of their non-existent footprint, which makes them easier to wear all day. However, smart rings lack the interactive features of a smartwatch , or other abilities that make them an extension of your smartphone, not just another accessory. An AI company now plans to solve that by bringing together the best of both worlds, adding smartwatch-like controls to its first smart ring. Aina is a new smart ring with a tiny screen that wraps around your finger. Its maker, which shares the same name, does not share specifics about this display, except that it’s an OLED, but that’s possibly because it’s not being marketed as the main selling point for this smart ring. Instead, Aina is focusing on its context-aware operating system that digs information from your phone, PC, any AI agents, or other software you may use and establishes patterns to learn about your preferences.
