- Samsung’s Galaxy Fit 4 Manager app has appeared on the Galaxy Store, revealing a dedicated Wallet option that hints at contactless payment support.

- However, the tracker’s earlier FCC certification makes no mention of NFC connectivity, leaving payment support uncertain.

- The listing also showcases new watch faces and a battery life estimate of just over four days, though the latter is likely placeholder data.

Samsung’s fitness wearable ambitions don’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. Last month, we shared video clips of the upcoming Galaxy Fit 4 from 360-degree angles, and although the wearable looked almost indistinguishable from its predecessor on the outside, new leaks suggest that it could have a lot going for it on the inside.

Beyond a trove of new watch faces and stress-tracking support, the upcoming fitness tracker could finally bring contactless payments to the Galaxy Fit line. This should bring Samsung’s offering more in line with competitors like Google’s Fitbit Charge line and Xiaomi’s smart bands, both of which boast NFC for contactless payments.

Information about the development comes from Samsung itself. The tech giant published the Galaxy Fit 4 Manager app on the Galaxy Store, and although that doesn’t offer much at first glance, a closer look at the screenshots in the listing reveals a key detail, as pointed out by SamMobile.

The screenshot above highlights the Galaxy Fit 4 Manager app’s settings page, and among familiar menus, there’s a new Wallet option hiding in plain sight. It’s slightly obscured by the navigation bar at the bottom, but the “Wallet” text and its accompanying icon are still completely legible if you look closely.

The development is interesting, especially since the Galaxy Fit 3 doesn’t support NFC payments. The new Wallet menu is likely where users will go to sync their payment cards through Samsung Wallet.

Before you get too excited, there is a chance that the listing image was just a placeholder, or that the Wallet menu serves an entirely different purpose. An FCC certification for the Galaxy Fit 4 has already been spotted, and the regulatory filing only mentions Bluetooth connectivity, with no reference to NFC. That doesn’t entirely rule out NFC support, but it does give us a big reason to be skeptical.

Apart from the Wallet integration hint, the Manager app listing gives us another look at the Galaxy Fit 4’s watch faces, highlighting some of the options we’ve already seen in previous leaks. Interestingly, there’s also an image that shows the Galaxy Fit 4 at 100% battery with an estimated four days and three hours of usage remaining.

The Galaxy Fit 3, for reference, offers roughly 13 days of battery life on a single charge, suggesting that its successor could either see a significant drop in battery life or that the estimate is simply placeholder data. The latter is likely to be the case here.

Samsung has yet to announce a release date for the Galaxy Fit 4, though considering that the wearable has already secured an FCC certification, an official announcement might not be too far away.
